Your instructor may enable multiple attempts on quizzes or tests, and your final score will be the best score out of all attempts. You will know if you’ve been granted multiple attempts by the following symbol to the right of a quiz or test:

Once you’ve made a few attempts, the symbol will change to show how many submissions you’ve made and how many attempts you have left by shading in the segments for the number of attempts you’ve already completed.

You can also see your progress by clicking on the quiz or test title and viewing the start page:

After each submission, you will see your percent correct score. Depending on how your instructor set up the quiz or test, you may be able to View Results (before the due date) and see what you got correct or incorrect. Or you may be able to see the answers and answer explanations.

If your instructor allows late completion/credit on assessments in your course, the due date has passed, and you have leftover attempts, then you will be prompted to either 'Try Again' or 'View Results.' Since View Results will display the answers, you will be asked if you choose to forfeit your remaining assessment attempts. You will always be able to see your attempt scores to help make a decision on further attempts.
